Located at the far end of Newquay Bay. At high tide Newquay Bay is a collection of coves, starting at the Harbour with Towan Beach, then onto Great Western, Tolcarne, Lusty Glaze and Porth. These are all isolated at high tide but at low tide they all link up leaving a crescent shaped beach stretching over a mile long. The swell hitting Lusty Glaze is usually a little smaller than Fistral but it receives more swell than the other beaches closer to town. It is surfable through all tides but, as with all of the Bay’s beaches, is prone to close outs at low tide. |
