Receives plenty of swell and is surfable through all tides. The waves here can be more powerful than many of Cornwall’s other beaches and can get pretty heavy. At low tide the beach links up with other coves for over a kilometre in each direction. From mid to high tide the beach reduces considerably, down to a 200m stretch of beach at high. High tide offers some protection from SW winds with a SE wind blowing offshore.
